In The Realm of Giants

kinda realize the reason i've been in a bit of art rut is because for a while now i haven't really done any paintings just for the sake of painting it because it's fun. Everything always has to do with a commission, or turned into a mini project/series, so i kinda just want to lay back a bit and do a fun painting.

Eventually this did turned into a bit of a mini project though, haha

Usually I try to make my environments and creatures to feel as realistic as possible, immersing the viewers, making them feel like they could step into the environment

But with this one I intentionally want to go into a bit more of a whimsical feel, like something you'd see in a Jules Verne novel or an old school adventure story, very colorful environments brimming with fantastical creatures that feels almost dream like.
